If you fail to abide by your obligations under the law, a debtor may take legal action against you and file a claim for damages if the non-compliance with the law caused harm to him or her.

A debtor may initiate proceedings within 3 years of the non-compliance with the law.

The Office de la protection du consommateur may impose a fine on you for failing to obey the law.
