The price of gasoline has its ups and downs. The Office de la protection du consommateur does not govern how gas is priced.

The Office's role

The Office ensures that merchants charge the price they display. If a merchant displays that a litre of gas costs $1.41 but wants to charge you more, the Office can intervene.
