Refer to our website for various tools that can help you resolve your problem. The Resolve a problem with a merchant section presents the various steps to follow. Among other things, you will find suggestions on negotiating with a merchant and sending a formal notice.

If your problem concerns a subject of an exclusively civil nature, such as reasonable durability of goods, deliveries or non-conformity of goods or services, you can download an information kit.

Before calling us, check whether the topic of your request is part of the consumer topics that are not covered by the Office.

We offer uninterrupted telephone service Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Make sure you have on hand the documents related to your situation (contract, warranty, invoice, receipt, etc.).

We answer calls in the order they are received, regardless of their point of origin.

As we operate a small scale call centre, the average waiting time to speak to a consumer protection agent is 10 minutes. Waiting times vary based on the flow and the nature of the calls. Generally speaking, waiting times are longer on Monday mornings as well as between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., regardless of the day of the week.
