If the balance of your prepaid card is $5 or less, the merchant is required to refund this amount at your request.
Whom to contact
If the name of the merchant to contact for the refund is indicated on the card, only this merchant is required to provide the refund. Otherwise, you can contact any other merchant where the card can be redeemed.
Card from a financial institution
If you have a card issued by a financial institution that may be used wherever the payment system indicated on the card is accepted, the merchant is not required to refund the card balance, regardless of the amount.
