The quality of the services provided by the child-care centre and the price charged for those services are governed by the Ministère de la Famille. See the section about child-care services (in French only) on the Ministère de la Famille Web site if you have any problem with the quality of the services provided by your child-care centre or the price charged by the centre for the services.

In regard to pricing, the Consumer Protection Act only requires that:

  • a price be indicated in the contract;
  • this price remains the same for the duration of the contract;
  • the child-care centre abides by the price indicated in the contract.
