The law governs contracts entered into with a merchant that offers services provided over a period of time. Such contracts are defined as “contracts of service involving sequential performance.” Day camps and stayover camps offer this type of service.

Day camps and stayover camps not covered by law

The law does not govern camps offered by public institutions, e.g. a municipality’s leisure services department.
