A merchant cannot specify the amount of the penalty fees you will be charged if you miss an appointment in your contract.
What happens if you don't show up for a treatment for which you had scheduled an appointment? The merchant can negotiate the penalty with you, if the merchant considers having incurred any losses. If you cannot come to an agreement, it will be up to the merchant to take the case to court.
