When a vendor closes his establishment or goes bankrupt, the amounts paid by the customers and deposited in trust accounts are unseizable. The president of the Office de la protection du consommateur can appoint a temporary administrator to manage these accounts.

If the vendor with whom you signed a contract closed his establishment or went bankrupt, please contact the Office to make sure that your file will be processed and that you will receive a refund for the protected amounts.
