Here is how to cancel your Internet access service contract.

Is advance notice required?

If you concluded your Internet access service contract on or after June 30, 2010, it is within your rights to terminate the contract at any time. To do so, you must simply advise the service provider verbally or in writing, preferably by registered mail.

Should you desire, you can terminate your contract immediately upon giving notice to your service provider. You are under no obligation to provide advance notice. Upon cancelling the contract, you will no longer have to pay for the service.

If your contract was signed before June 30, 2010, your service provider may have the right to require you to provide advance notice (30 days, for example) before terminating the contract.

Cancellation fees

The service provider may charge you cancellation fees if you terminate your contract.
