First, check to see if your request is one of the consumer issues not covered by the Office. Then consult our Web site for a variety of information that may be useful to you, depending on the good, service or problem in question.

Holiday schedule
Please note that we have fewer staff available to respond to your inquiries during the holiday season, which may affect response times.
In addition, due to public holidays, no telephone services will be available on the following dates:
- December 24, 25, and 26;
- December 31, January 1, and January 2.
You can contact us from anywhere in Quebec and Canada.
- Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
- Make sure you have on hand the documents related to your situation (contract, warranty, invoice, receipt, etc.);
- Waiting times vary based on the flow and the nature of the calls received.

Offices closed for the holidays
All of our regional offices will be closed from December 22 to January 2, inclusive. Our regular schedule will resume on January 5, 2026.
The Office de la protection du consommateur has 11 regional offices across Québec. They are open to consumers, without an appointment, according to a predetermined schedule.
Before coming to the office, make sure to consult the schedule of the regional office nearest you. By clicking on one of the offices on the interactive map, you will also obtain its complete address.
Since some of our regional offices operate on a reduced staff, you may come across regional offices that are closed temporarily. Thank you for your understanding.
