The quality of the services provided by the childcare centre and the price charged for those services are governed by the Ministère de la Famille. See the section about childcare services (in French only) on the Ministère de la Famille Web site if you have any problem with the quality of the services provided by your childcare centre or the price charged by the centre for the services.

In regard to pricing, the Consumer Protection Act only requires that:

  • a price be indicated in the contract;
  • this price remains the same for the duration of the contract;
  • the childcare centre abides by the price indicated in the contract.
