Reasons for recourse to the Fund

• To get financial compensation if a travel agent is no longer able to meet his obligations.
• To get compensation if a supplier is no longer able to meet its obligations.
• If a travel agent has not met his obligations, the customer can receive compensation or a refund from his individual surety. If it is insufficient, the amounts will be taken from the Compensation Fund for Customers of Travel Agents.
• If a supplier (e.g. airline) can no longer meet its obligations, the customer can get a refund directly from the Compensation Fund for Customers of Travel Agents.
