Cancelling a purchase
You can cancel purchases paid under loan contracts or credit contracts, like instalment-financed purchases, within two days of receiving your contract duplicate. If the second day is a Saturday, Sunday or statutory holiday, you have until the first day that is not a holiday. For example, if the contract is signed on a Thursday, the new deadline is Monday.
To cancel a credit contract, you must return the money borrowed or good purchased on credit if it is already in your possession within the two-day period. If you have not yet received the money or item, you must advise the merchant in writing (preferably by registered mail) of your intention to terminate the contract, within the same two-day period.
