Solicitation by telemarketing

Solicitation by telemarketing

Governed by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), telemarketing is a means for businesses to advertise their products and offer their services.

To contact potential customers, businesses often use the services of professional telemarketers or call centres, who make unsolicited phone calls and send unsolicited faxes on their behalf. However, all of these companies are governed by the CRTC's telemarketing rules, notably the times these calls may be made.
