Advertising
Advertising rules require that clear mention be made of the fact that this is a lease. Expressions like "based on xx months' leasing" are not acceptable and must be replaced by "xx months' leasing" or "xx months' lease".
Further, terms of payment must be clearly indicated, i.e.:
- cost of transportation and preparation, if not included in the monthly payment;
- lump sum and amount of prepaid monthly instalments paid as a down payment;
- amount and number of instalments payable over the leasing period;
- mileage limit and extra mileage charges.
Note
Advertising must mention every term and condition. If it mentions the amount of the instalment, it must also indicate the cost of transportation and repair, extra mileage charges, down payment, etc.
This can be done as follows:
- "A xxx down payment, including two monthly instalments of xx, a lump sum of xxx, xxx covering the cost of transportation and preparation, less the exchange value";
- "36 monthly instalments of xxx".
