Every year, the Office receives hundreds of consumer complaints related to the purchase of heating or air-conditioning equipment, generally dealing with:
- promised but unrealized heating cost savings;
- improper equipment installation;
- unsatisfactory after-sales service.
Installation and maintenance of this type of equipment should not be entrusted to the first merchant who contacts you or offers his services.
The Office strongly recommends exercising caution before embarking on a renovation project. Do the checks and calculations necessary and, especially, get it in writing before buying.
